Membership Information
Thank you for your interest in membership in the St. Croix Yacht Club. Please feel free to browse our site and view the information regarding new membership. Everything you need to begin the process is on our new interactive website. You’ll find the Application, Sponsor’s Recommendation / Checklist, and Fee Schedule for you to download and mail or complete them on-line and submit them directly to our Membership Chair.
We the board of Directors of the St. Croix Yacht Club believe that special attention need be given to every new boating member as to their expectations and the requirement placed with each individual seeking entry into this organization. The following categories highlite our strongest convictions, which sets the cornerstone of our Club, along with charting a long term course for the continuing success and prosperity of the St. Croix Yacht Club.
- We believe that the primary purpose of the club is the promotion of social and aquatic functions which take place on the adjoining rivers of the Mississippi and St. Croix.
- We believe that safe boating is the essence of this organization. The continuing education and sharing of helpful information to all will best insure this function and is a goal of all members.
- We believe that being a good neighbor on the river not only improves club image but enhances our own enjoyment of fellow boaters and all the facilities of the club.
- We believe that all members are truly ambassdors at large, and as such, our members present to all others a positive impression both by their words as well as actions.
- Finally, we are thankful that we may practice these beliefs and partake of one of the most unique boating experiences in our land.
Consider these beliefs and weigh their meaning, for they are woven throughout the fabric of the St Croix Yacht Club.
For your membership to be considered, you must submit the following as one package:
- A letter of interest that will introduce yourself to the Board of Directors
- The completed and signed New Member Application
- The completed and signed Sponsor’s Recommendation / Checklist
- A check for the Capital Investment Fund and full Annual Dues (If you are applying on-line the check must be mailed and received before your application will be considered).
In addition, you will need to choose an event to assist with. There are many events over the year, both on shore and at the clubhouse. Please click here to see the event list.
Auxiliary Addendum:
Auxiliary membership and dues are required of all first time members and the nominal dues entitle members to three extra Club Events. This also provides funding for updates and improvements to the Clubhouse. Active participation in the Auxiliary is not required for membership. You may be both the St. Croix Yacht Club Member and the Auxiliary member at the same time. The Auxiliary appreciates your support. Once the entire package is received, you will be contacted about your desire to become a member by a member of our Membership Committee. Following your brief interview, your application will be presented to the Board of Directors for consideration at a regularly scheduled meeting. You will be contacted when a decision on your application is made. Applications are presented on a first come first served basis as openings occur.
